As you may know, October is breast cancer awareness month. ENCOREplus is hosting its 5th annual “pink afternoon tea party” outreach event to spread the word on the importance of the early detection of breast cancer. This event will be held in the gymnasium of the YWCA ofBinghamton on Saturday, October 20, 2012 from 2pm-4pm. The event is free of charge to all. However, ENCOREplus will be grateful for any donations made to underwrite event costs and any additional money made will be donated to The Susan G. Komen “For the Cure” Foundation.  There are only 100 seats so please call ahead of time to reserve your seats. Tables seat 10, so make sure to invite your friends!

The event will include a fashion show from our local retailer Dress Barn, a rare and unique exhibit of women’s art, a showcase of local bakeries, wonderful tea’s and coffee. There will be gifts for all as well as door prizes! Local survivors will be sharing their experiences with breast cancer and the ENCOREplus program. Please join us to celebrate awareness!

Come celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This event targets women over 40 years of age. All are welcome, but please spread the word to your mothers, aunts and grandmothers!
